The Arts encompass a wide range of creative disciplines, including Media, Visual Art, Music, Dance, and Drama. These subjects not only foster creativity and self-expression but also cultivate critical thinking, collaboration, and cultural awareness. Through the study of The Arts, students develop a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them, gaining skills that are invaluable both in and out of the classroom.
Throughout Years 7 and 8, our students will experience all the strands of The Arts. This exploration allows them to experience the unique characteristics and techniques of each discipline. Whether it's creating a stop-motion film, painting a masterpiece, playing a musical instrument, performing a dance routine, or acting in a drama production, students will have the opportunity to discover and develop their artistic talents.
As students progress to Year 9 and beyond, they are given the opportunity to select The Arts as an elective. This allows them to delve deeper into their areas of interest, refining their skills and exploring advanced concepts. Our arts program is designed to inspire and nurture each student's passion for creativity, providing a solid foundation for future artistic endeavours.
