Teaching and Learning
Pine Rivers State High School develops informed citizens capable of building harmonious communities. Our teachers work to create classrooms where students embody a growth mindset towards learning, active and collaborative learning is prioritised, students develop clarity in where their learning is going and how to be successful, and students take responsibility by accessing resources in an organised way.
Pine Rivers State High School's Whole School Approach to Pedagogy centres The Pine Rivers Learner at the heart of our teaching and learning, and teachers are guided to consider our learners, the curriculum, teaching (collegial engagement and professional learning), and high-impact pedagogy practices drawn from the Queensland Department of Education's evidence base, to foster learning environments where students belong, and our school values of perseverance, integrity, nurturing, and excellence drive everything we do.
