In Visual Arts, students develop their skills through areas such as drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, craft and design, while also learning to analyse and respond to artworks. We have dedicated Visual Arts rooms, allowing students to work in creative and practical learning environments and exhibition student work yearly.
Visual Arts is also supported through senior pathways, including the Certificate III in Visual Arts, where students can develop industry-relevant skills in areas such as painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking and creative practice. This provides students with opportunities to build portfolios, participate in collaborative projects and explore future careers or further study in the creative industries.
Through Visual Arts, we encourage students to find their own creative voice, take risks with their ideas and develop confidence in their ability to create, communicate and contribute.
Visual Arts in Practice – Applied Subject
Through hands-on experiences, students build creativity, problem-solving, communication and practical skills while developing their own artistic style.

Cert III in Visual Arts – VET Course
Certificate III in Visual Arts gives students the opportunity to develop their creativity while building practical skills in one of Pine Rivers' art studios. Across two years, students explore a range of materials, techniques, technologies and artistic processes to create individual and meaningful artworks.
Students investigate the work of contemporary and traditional artists, exploring how art reflects culture, history and the world around us. Through demonstrations, training and hands-on practice, students develop skills for future study or careers in the visual arts.
Fine Arts is a place to experiment, create, think critically and turn ideas into art.
