Pine Rivers State High School has a range of academic support services available for all students to assist them in taking control of their future, and achieving the best they can during their time at Pine Rivers.
Maths tutoring
Maths tutoring is available for all students throughout the year. See the Maths tutoring news article for more information.
Homework help
Every Wednesday afternoon between 3.00pm and 4.00pm, some of our teaching staff volunteer their time in the library to help any students in completing assigned homework.
Integrate Program
The Integrate Program supports students' development of literacy, numeracy, and self-regulation to empower them in their classes. Integrating Humanities, English, Science and Maths, through an inquiry approach to learning, the Integrate Program is offered to students in year 8 and 9 and builds confidence, boosts academic achievement, fosters a sense of belonging and embodies our school motto by different ways to excellence.
Selections for the Integrate Program occur towards the end of each semester. Student data including levels of achievement, NAPLAN, attendance, effort, and behaviour are used to select students, in consultation with families. Families who wish to discuss their student's involvement in the Integrate Program should contact the Head of Department: Teaching and Learning at ElevateCentre@pineriversshs.eq.edu.au
