SWEET CHARITY
Book by Neil Simon
Music by Cy Coleman
Lyrics by Dorothy Fields

Sweet Charity is a story about a girl who wanted to be loved so much that she loses sight of who she really is. Charity performed by the delightful Jodie Conserdyne will make you laugh and cry as she delves through life's ups and downs. Her romances go haywire. There's the 'pigheaded' hero, the 'chick magnet' hero and the 'impossible to believe he's the one' hero. Her world is the all too real world of Times Square surrounded by the cynical chorus girls at the dance hall ( here the teachers spend big time), the Coney Island 'fun people', Central Park 'strollers' and the Rhythm of Life 'churchgoers'. This is a bright and fun show, a comedy looking at what makes life interesting. It is full of 80's colour with spectacular songs and dances like 'If My Friends Could See Me Now', 'Too Many Tomorrows', ' Gotta Be Something Better Than This', 'Big Spender'. Now in his 13th year, The Chicken will once again be fluffing his feathers in his annual guest appearance at the school musical.
